Reset Slide without resetting variables

Hello heroes, 

I need to reset the state of slides upon return, however I need the variables that were triggered on that slide to remain changed. 

CONTEXT: I am returning learners to the course information for quiz questions they got incorrect. I want to show them ONLY the content they got wrong, so I need the "correct" and "incorrect" variable I set up to remain. For instance, if they got Q2 and Q4 wrong, I want to send them directly to Info#4 after reviewing Info#2, skipping Info#3 (because they got it right in the question).

Does the selection of "Reset to Initial State" in the Slide Properties also reset the variables that were changed? (hoping not!)
