Thanks for reaching out!
I tested this behavior by adding <Test> as the course's slide title and I had no problems with getting it to publish and display properly.
Would you mind sharing the exact title you're using, where you have it added to your course, and a screenshot of what it looks like when published so we can check what's happening?
