Regarding Course completion configuration in Articulate and LMS

For my course, I want t0 configure a trigger to showcase the course completion status in our LMS, and it should be like below condition

* Course status in LMS should be completed only after learner scored 100% in the assessment.

For that I have made 3 configuration.

1. In Results Page, I have configured Passing score as 100%.

2. Set a trigger in thank you page,

          'Complete Course as Completed/Passed'

When the timeline starts on this slide If Quiz1.ScorePercent = Value 100

Else: Complete course as Incomplete / Failed

3. While Publishing, In Tracking Page I have enabled only 1 option. i.e

            Using Trigger (E.g.'Complete Course')

But Still I am not getting the expected result,  Even if the learner scores 80 or 90%, the course status is showing as Completed.

What else steps or configuration I have to do in order to achieve this? Please Guide

Thanks in Advance,

Shibin

  • Hi Sharath,

I'm happy to help! Since you'd like the course status to be marked completed in the LMS only after the learner scored 100% in the assessment and you have already configured the passing score as 100%, I recommend tracking your course using the 'When the learner completes a quiz' option.

Here's how you can report both completion and success statuses to your LMS.

If you need help with anything else, please let us know here in the E-Learning Heroes Community or privately in a support case. We'll be happy to assist you!

I suggest setting Report status to LMS as Passed/Incomplete. Or Passed/Failed minus else condition in the completion trigger. You may also report Passed/Incomplete with the 'When the learner completes a quiz' option. Then you probably won't need "Using triggers" option. With the 'When the learner completes a quiz' option, your quiz score gets reported as well. I would definitely try to avoid reporting Passed/Failed status in your scenario just to make sure the Complete status is not reported even after the quiz is failed.
