"Pick Many" Not Working in Chrome

We have re-published a course with the modern player (to overcome the end of Flash). Once slide has a "pick many" quiz question which doesn't appear to work when using Chrome.  The cursor recognizes that the items are mean to be clicked when it switches from arrow to pointer finger.  However, nothing happens when you click it. The selected item does not get the highlighted border that it is supposed to get.

The slide functions in preview mode and it also functions correctly in Firefox.  Does the "pick many" need to be updated?

  • Hi Dan,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing with your published output in Chrome.

I created a Pick Many and did a quick test, but it's working as expected. Does this link work as expected for you in Chrome?

With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

  • Hello,

My Pick Many also appears to be misbehaving. Upon preview, clicking leaves no marker. Nor does slide view show the red and green I am used to for incorrect and correct answers.

I have attached a test file for your viewing pleasure.

    Thank you,

  • I think I have been mixing up pick one/many with hotspot. None-the-less, without some kind of feedback like with hotspot, learners may not know their clicks are doing anything.

    Thanks,

      Hello Allen!

Thanks for sharing your project! I am also seeing there is no indication of when a rectangle shape has been selected, but the selected state includes a transparent fill and transparent line. Instead, could you add a solid line for the Selected state?

Please let me know if I am off base.

  • Lauren,

You are not off-base at all. I am.

    As I mentioned, I was expecting--incorrectly--hotspot-type behavior.

    Thank you for your assistance.

I have changed the example, doing something similar to your advice.
