Hyperlinks not holding formats if hover and then move mouse away
Hello heroes,
Hoping you might have a solution. We are having an issue with hyperlinks that is a new issue for us just recently (did not have this issue 3 mo. ago).
We use a standard format in Storyline and we copy/paste in content. However, we MANUALLY add the hyperlinks. Import from PowerPoint. Remove the links that imported. Right click to add hyperlinks manually.
What is occuring when we publish the Storyline file to Review 360 is:
- The hyperlink text initially shows the desired formatting.
- If you hover over the text, the formatting is correct.
- However, as soon as you move your mouse away, the formatting is lost (goes to standard black text only).
- If you click on the text, the URL formatting is correct as well.
- If you re-hover over, the formatting is again correct (only as long as you hover over).
We checked the states of the hyperlinks and they show all 4 states as the correct experience we desire - and none are for black text formatting.
Hoping someone has run into this and has a fix? I don't want to have to add shapes or anything over it to make this work (due to volume of work that would create).
Example story and screenshots.
Thank you in advance!
Hello Heather,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.
I tested your project file and can confirm that you are being affected by a known issue that causes hyperlink states to behave erratically. One workaround that you can do is to place your hyperlinked texts in their own text boxes to prevent the hyperlink states from affecting others within the same text box.
I've added this ELH post to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is released!

To clarify the URLs are done via text object with a "Jump to URL/file" trigger

I am experiencing the same/similar issue except that my link text is turning bright blue - also not a color I have defined as one of the hyperlink state formats.
I have a list of numbered items, each of which is a link. Initially the normal color is as specified in the hyperlink text format and the hover color displays correctly, but when you hover out the state it returns to is bright blue (not normal) and then that appears to become the 'new normal' if you will. Hover, Active and Visited states all continue to apply as specified after, but normal is now wrong.
I would like to be informed when this bug is fixed.
Thank you. Thanks for sharing what you're experiencing as well, C Green. Sorry to hear you've run into this snag.
I have added your voice to this bug report so that you will be notified of the fix release!
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

Hello, I am having the same issues are others have shared earlier in this post. When can we expect this issue to be resolved, is there a manual way to reset this?

I'm also having this issue and it's happening in marker text boxes, so there's really no way to put the text in a different box. Fingers crossed there's a fix soon, otherwise, I'll need to "fake" some hyperlinks with a transparent box or something... if that will even work in a marker text box!

I'm having the same issue too. My font on the hyperlink changes to white (invisible on a white background) when it is visited.
