How can I create a Searchable list on one slide?
I need to create a searchable list on a slide. It should simulate a dropdown where the user can search through a list of 300 items.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't know about a list of 300 items, but I was able to simulate a dropdown list of about 50 items that the learner scrolls through.
I took a series of screenshots and then combined them in SnagIt to make one very long list; then I published the image as a PDF and inserted it in a scrolling panel element. Once I resized it to fit the background image (of a tablet computer), the user could then use the slider in the scrolling panel to review the list.
In my task the learner was then directed to select one specific item that happened to be closer to the top of the actual list, so I observed multiple users simply scrolling down and up a few times before clicking on the specific item they were instructed to. I can think you could do the same thing, but 300 items is a lot to work with. Can you just use a sample portion of the entire list? And what do you want them to search for? What do you want them to do once they find the "search for" item?
I suppose you could design a scavenger hunt that only requires them to review the list and then type in a specific name on a subsequent slide, but again, 300 items is a lot to process.
Good luck!
