Having trouble with triggers
I am creating a drop and drag word game. I cannot seem to get the triggers to change the words correctly. I drop epi + dermis..it comes out epidermis..thats correct but if I put down leuko + plakia first then everything ends up leukoplakia..Here is the review: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/da82c6da-1ba7-403f-9fdc-875154916bf3/review.
What am I doing wrong?

If you will attach your .story file here, someone can look at the workings of it and help you with what's going wrong.

Hi, Johanne.
Thank you for sharing your .story file!
It looks like you used one of the Built-in states, Down, as a condition to your project. Since the built-in states already come pre-defined, it won't work for what you're looking to do. My suggestion would be to add a new state. In the example below, I called it "On":
You will then need to adjust your triggers to reflect the new state:
This is what this would look like in Preview:
Let me know if this works!

I tried it and it semi works. Do you think I need to create new states for the press here button also? I am using the same motion path for everything just changing the states when the words are combined.
Could you explain what you mean by it semi-works? We'd be happy to take another look.

It works if i combine the words in a specific way. If I am random, the same word will repeat. I can do epidermis, hypotension, cardiology..then cardiology will repeat and not leukoplakia. If i start with Leukoplakia, it continues throughout the whole game. I do really appreciate your help with this!!

Thank you for those added details! I just wanted to pop into this discussion with an easier method that will require fewer triggers and no variables.
I've created a 5-minute tutorial explaining these changes and attached the updated project. I hope others in the community will share if they have another method they recommend too.

Thank you!! This has really been a puzzler for me. I've gotten alot of helpful tips and I attended a webinar today that also gave me great ideas. I appreciate any and all feedback.
