Flashcards and Accessibility

Hi,

Does anyone know - are flashcard interactions in SL360 considered fully accessible for learners with disabilities? (i.e. screen readers, keyboard nav, etc.)

Marty

  • Hi Marty!

Great question! It depends on how you've set this up. Can you share what you have in mind or what you've created so far?

      Hi Lauren,

We haven't created anything yet. One of my ID's asked - because they want to get more variety in interactions - and we've been pretty limited since we have to be sure every element is accessible.

Is there a specific approach to using flashcards that is accessible - that you're able to describe?

      Thanks,
      Marty

        Hi Marty!

I don't have an example to share, but you'd want to make sure the final interaction meets WCAG conformance. If you're looking for a starting point, here are flashcard interactions that could be customized to meet current accessibility standards.

If I see a flashcard interaction that meets all accessibility standards, I'll make sure to share it in this discussion.
