empty grey area

Hi everyone

Apologies for this basic question. I tried to google it but could not find an answer.

I am seeing an empty grey area on both sides of the slides. (see attached screenshot)I would like the slides to be full screen but could not find a solution. I deactivated all player controls etc but I'm still seeing this.

Any ideas?

Thanks

  • You will need to deselect the "lock aspect ratio" option.  Then you can select any ratio you prefer

  • Hello Ashraf

What Slide Size are you using (under design)?  Also, I am assuming you are using the modern player and just selected "OFF" for menus and controls.

    Hi Ron
Thank you for your prompt reply. The slide size is 960x540. Indeed, I am during modern player and I switched off the menus and controls but I am still seeing the same issue. I am attaching my story file if you could please have a look.
    Thanks a lot

  • the 16x9 or 960x540 if you have the sidebar.  Without it, there is some space.  Mine was not as obvious as yours,

Adjusting the aspect ratio to a wider option (around 80x30)  yielded better results.  But a lot has to due to the aspect ratio of the screen and browser.  Storyline is not 100% responsive, like Rise360.

    Thank you Ron

How did you manage to get this view in the last screenshot where it's almost full screen.?

What should I enter in width and height to get similar results?

    Big thanks for your help

  • I used roughly an 80x30 aspect ratio - but you can experiment with a variety of aspect ratios to get what you want.  Something close to 16x9 or 16 x 10 is usually a good option

Thank you Ron but I am still struggling to figure out how did you put 16x10? Here is the screenshot of my settings.
Sorry if the question sounds too basic
