Client requesting various IDs from Storyline Project
Hello all,
We helped a client redesign an existing Storyline build, and they asked for an identifier. I assumed this was the LMS Course Information Identifier and the LMS Lesson SCORM Information Identifier. However, they have now provided the following document that shows what they used to give their IT team:
To me, the Course ID makes sense (Moodle creates a Course ID per course), but the other IDS make me think they are from inside the LMS database itself.
The client is unsure if they have an LRS, but do use xAPIs to transfer completion data from Moodle to another system.
Do you think these IDs are from their LMS and not the actual Storyline project? If they are in the Storyline project, where do you think they would be?
Thank you in advance.

Also, they can't tell me what SCORM export they use, so I'm going off of that the course's settings were previously set to SCORM 1.2 for exporting.

Hi Carli,
The ID information in the image you shared is coming from your client's LMS. Any ID information shared by Storyline has to do with scene number, slide number, and question draw (if you have a question draw in the course). Here is an article with more on quiz data that is shared with an LMS.
Thanks for reaching out!

When you say its coming from the LMS, do you mean when a course is created in the LMS it applies these number to it?
Hi Cassandra,
It sounds like the course was created in Storyline, and published to an LMS, which collected the data shown above. If you have additional questions, please feel free to ask here or submit a support case!
