Can I modify items within a group without ungrouping everything?

I have a group set up with animations, correct place on the timeline, and multiple triggers. I'd like to make changes to an item within the group. Can I do that without ungrouping this group (which would break a bunch of things)?

    You can adjust the individual items inside a group by opening the group in the timeline. See below:
