Background audio jumps in volume between first three slides in Storyline project

We are using background audio on a Storyline project and have it set to reduce in volume when there is other audio on a slide.  Even adding buffer time at the beginning and end of our slide audio, and with it set to reduce in volume when audio is playing, when the slides transition the audio jumps back up to full volume for only a fraction of a second before reducing again for the next slide. We saw another user was having a similar issue, but never saw if there was a resolution. For us, this issue is only happening between our first three slides, but does make the finished result seem unprofessional.
