Articulate 360 Peek Window issues
I apologize is this is covered elsewhere, but I didn't see it if it is. I have dual monitors because I find it easier to develop that way (pull up material in Word on one screen, copy into Storyline on the other). The Peek screen recorder seems to be a bit confused by that. When I try to record something, the "window" that shows up is about four inches from the screen I choose.
For example, if I choose "full screen" of the monitor on my left, it puts the red box mostly in the middle of the two monitors instead of fully over the left side. I am posting a screen shot of where the window goes on this page for an example (attached). The weird thing is that it will record the screen as if it is in the proper place (though does record the line of record box itself). If I move it with the move crosshairs to cover the window fully over the where I want it, it does not record correctly (it acts offcenter). I've tried playing with various things in Properties to see if it is a "compatability" thing, but haven't found an answer yet. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey, all.
Has there been a resolution to this error, I believe I have the same problem. See https://360.articulate.com/review/content/1eaacadb-e7bc-401c-b7ae-9b2e140827f2/review
When I start the recording the area, it wants to capture it is not in line with the window, but if I move it to line up, then it cuts off half the screen. See https://360.articulate.com/review/content/423f4291-4faa-4097-8361-971161cc9054/review
When I don't line the recording window up, as you can see, it captures the whole screen, but the mouse is off to the left.
When I disconnect my docking station, i get this https://360.articulate.com/review/content/73a8277b-01ee-4812-854b-5e1767488a33/review.
Please advise.
Hey Steve,
Thanks for those links! I'd like to be sure I'm envisioning your set-up correctly. Are you using a laptop with a docking station and an external monitor? When you disconnect from the docking station, does Peek recording a black screen?

I have the same issue, has not been resolved yet, any news?
Sorry you're having trouble with Peek, Anton. Can you tell me a bit more about your set up?
Specifically...
- What version of Windows are you using?
- Are you using dual monitors?
- What happens when you try recording with Peek?

Greetings
I am running Windows 10, I have dual monitors.
Peek does not capture the section of screen that is in the RED box
I set the RED box to record the whole of screen 1, but what it recorded was ΒΌ of screen 2 (LHS of video)https://360.articulate.com/review/content/f64b69b5-fd08-4197-8eb0-ae125c8c9e40/review

I have had to stop using Peek because of this. So far nothing I have tried seems to capture the exact area I need. I hope because of this thread it will get fixed:)
Hi Anton and Karyn,
I'm sorry you're still struggling with this. Have you tried disabling the additional monitor to see if that is interfering with the record set up? Also when choosing the recording section are you picking a particular window or choose to record full screen?

I am having the exact same issue as the other users describe. Windows 10. Box is off center to the right by 3-4 inches. Have tried both recording full screen and particular window. Same issue in Storyline 360 and Replay 360. It records correctly, but playback shows the red border from the recording window. Works fine when recording with only one monitor connected, but being able to use this product with dual monitors is a must. Any resolution yet?
Thanks for checking in, Ruth. We don't have a resolution for the Peek issue yet. However, it's strange that you're also having this problem in Storyline and Replay 360.
I've opened a case on your behalf so our Support Engineers can take a closer look at this. Keep an eye out for an email from our team!

Also having this issue. We were going to purchase a 360 Teams plan but this is hindering our decision to move forward as we have not been able to successfully use Peek to record software simulations.
Hi Krystin,
I'm sorry you've run into such trouble recording with Peek. It seems to be something specific to users who have a dual monitor set up and are trying to record. Does that match what you're seeing?
Are you able to record if you disconnect from your additional monitor?

No, I can't use it at all

Greetings
I ran a test with one monitor (screen) only, you are correct it works fine. The problem exists when two monitors are activeKind Regards
