3 quizz course not reporting Pass/Fail to LMS

Hi

We have this course which ends with 3 quizzes, out of which the learner has to choose and complete 1 only. All 3 quizzes have the following features:

  • 2 tries
  • Passing score of 80%
  • Each quiz is a draw of 15 questions from 3 separate Question Banks (each with 30 questions)

The learner chooses 1 quiz and attempts it. If they don't score 80% in the 1st try, they can try once more. If they fail both tries, the course has to be marked as "Failed". I am publishing it as SCORM 1.2 with the attached settings for LMS and Reporting.

Issue is that the LMS is not marking it as Complete even if the learner tries and fails any quiz both times. It is being reported as "In Process". I have tested it on Scorm Cloud with almost the same results. Attaching the Scorm Cloud report screen shot as well. Please help me understand what I am doing wrong and how it can be set to show "Failed" if the learner fails the quiz both times.

Thanks in advance.

  • I have also tried Complete/Failed instead of Passed/Failed with the same results in the LMS report. We are using PeopleFluent LMS.

    Thanks

    Lakshmi V

      Hello Lakshmi,

      Thanks for reaching out!

I tested your project file on my end and observed that when the retry button is pressed after the initial attempt, the question slides still remain locked even after setting the revisit behavior of the slide to 'Automatically decide'. This is even with the presence of the 'Reset results' trigger. I also noticed that there are conditional triggers being used that reference variables, but I couldn't isolate if these conditions were what was causing the behavior, even after reducing the number of drawn slides from the question bank to 1 and adding a reference variable on the slide so I could see how the values of the variables changed.

I went ahead and opened a support case so we can have one of our support engineers review your current slide configuration. You're in good hands, and someone from our team will be in touch shortly to help!

      Hi Angela!

After looking in Lakshmi's case, I see that the solution was to assign a Results Slide to all of the question banks in their course. If this is different than what you're experiencing, then I would recommend sharing your .story file with our Support Engineers in a support case.
