Progress bar based off how you answer a question
Looking to create a progress bar that progresses based on how a person answers a question. For example, if I answer the question correctly, on the next screen, the progression bar moves forward a bit. However, if I answer the question incorrectly, the progress bar does not progress forward (it remains where it currently is). Hi everyone, A newbie here and I would really appreciate your advice. I am developing my first complete project in Storyline 360, which really is just a demo for me to learn the ropes. The idea is that the learner needs to complete 5 mini-challenges or quizzes and will get a star for each challenge that is completed correctly. So far so good. I found a post here about how to award the stars and that is super useful. #1 - I am using 4 of the freeform question types. My idea is to give the learner a certain response for incorrect answers and let them try again but only twice. My question is probably pretty basic. I figured, after a lot of videos and reading posts, that the best is to customise the built-in feedback layers so that they are styled the same as all the other slides. This way, I can easily track how many points the learner has and I can use the built-in score variable to show the correct number of stars and easily limit the number of tries. #2 However, I am not sure if it would be pedagogically, or technically, better to turn off the feedback layers and create branching, either redirect the learner to the 'well done, here's your star and now go to the next question' slide, or 'oh-oh try again' slide. In this case, how would I limit the number of tries to 2? Do IDs use both of these solutions? Or is one of them better than the other (in any specific scenario)? Hello Fellow Storyline Friends,😀 I have one slide in my deck that storyline adds silence to at the end of the audio track. I have checked the audio editor and there is no additional space where silence would be. I have checked my timeline and can't find anything. I've searched online for clues to what might be happening but can't find just the right answer. Can anyone have a look and let me know where I've gone wrong? A colleague of mine asked me to help her troubleshoot why the "selected" state isn't sticking when the user clicks "correct option". I just tried to rebuild using a shape instead of a button set but it still won't stick. I know this is low hanging fruit but my brain's a little fried. Help us solve this mystery? Hi all - Our team is working on a project that aims to incorporate a flashcard deck that would allow learners to revisit the deck and only see the terms they'd incorrectly identified. First, has anyone done anything like this? And second, does the approach below sound like it'd work? We're planning on using an existing flashcard template and doing a quiz draw, then setting T/F variables for questions and working out the logic so that a retry button would only pull the questions/cards that they answered incorrectly and maybe a begin again button that would restart the whole deck. I have a nice animated park slide with a guy meditating in the park. I want to make a bird fly overhead to give it some depth. I have a bird on a motion path to fly across the slide. For the bird, I have two states "Normal" and "Flap". Normal has the wings up and flap is wings down. I would like Storyline to alternate these two states for the duration of the slide to make it look like it is flapping while it moves across the motion path. But CANNOT figure out how to do it. Has anyone tried creating a custom dynamic Table of Contents based on a button trigger in Storyline 360? I want to create a branching lesson that has mostly shared information but at points it separates to offer specified information based off of a button choice made at the start. The problem I'm running into is that it will show all of the contents in the player table of contents. Even when I set up a custom table of contents it shows both choice options. I would like to be able to have that change based off of that initial button choice. I have tried using JavaScript but can't seem to locate where in the story file or the overall published file the table of contents is located. Any ideas if this is even possible or am I barking up the wrong tree?25Views0likes1Comment
