Welcome to the New E-Learning Heroes!
Hello! I’m Ginger Swart, a Community Manager here at Articulate, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to our new E-Learning Heroes Community! Please check out this article to watch a walkthrough video of our site and our FAQ article for more information.
The work to move to our new site started over a year ago. To prepare for this, we have migrated over 1.5 million community members, 2100+ articles, 970+ examples and downloads, and more discussion posts than I can count! We had a beta period with our Super Heroes, and we appreciate all of the feedback we received from them. But with that much content, we anticipate there will be some hiccups, so please use this discussion to let us know about any issues you find and any feedback you want to share with us.
I hope you’ll love the new community as much as I do!

This morning when I tried to post a response to a question, I was prevented from doing so, because I had exceeded the number of posts I was permitted to make, and was encouraged to try again later. This was my first post of the day.
I have made very few posts on this new system, so how did I exceed the permissible number of posts?
Edit 3 Sep 2024.
It just happened to me again. It seems I'm limited to approximately 3 posts per day.

Is this real? I hope a "3 a day" post limit is just temporary while the platform is getting run through the paces.

I opened a Tech Support Case, and this is a problem with only a small number of accounts.

Anyone else have issues with post replies being rejected if you type the number 3 as an actual numeral? This has happened to me repeatedly across multiple posts. It does not always happen, but when it does it will generate a popup that says something like "3" is not allowed in the community. Until I replace 3 with three, I can't post.

Any idea when links to E-learning Heroes in Google search results will start working again? Currently, those links tend to redirect me to the homepage with the error "Access Denied You do not have access to this area of the community or it doesn't exist"
- JudyNolletSuper Hero
A few links to some of my old "Tips" posts gave me that error message. I found out from the staff that discussions that didn't have any activity within the last 3 years weren't transferred to this new site. Instead, they were archived. In other words, those old links will never work.

Given that that there are quite a few Storyline bugs reported 3+ years ago that still haven't been addressed, it seems illogical to not let us view the discussion for workarounds and fixes. Oh well.

Seems like still some kinks to work out, but I am enjoying the new community so far. Appreciate any updates provided when those things are resolved.

Articulate is surely a boon for all e-learning creators. Appreciate the way you kept yourself connected with millions of users. Hope it will go better and better over the time. one of my pain area in Storyline is:
#The Timeline, needs to be more effective and easy to handle.

How do I manage the email notifications?! I keep getting notified with all these "Thank you for posting this" messages because somehow I am subscribed to all the posts of examples people have posted. I never subscribed to these. It is so annoying. I tried to find the settings for notifications and I can't tell what to do because there are so many settings.
- JudyNolletSuper Hero
I agree; the list of possible settings is confusing. So I just use this setting: email notifications completely turned off.

Hi Ginger,
I'm new to the community and impressed by Articulate's entire onboarding experience including the tour and many, many live events. Having just been through your community transition, you've done a great job in establishing a new site that is very active and built-out. Kudos to you and your colleagues.
In signing up, I came across a few minor bugs and a few minor ideas to improve things. I am pointing them out here in case you want to make any changes:
Bugs
1) The email announcing my new badge for filling out my profile has a broken image2) I had to verify my email redundantly. After clicking on the first verify link, I was taken to an identical second message to repeat the verify. It did work fine after the second click
Ideas:
3) The titles of webinar include "GoTo Webinar". Maybe skip that part and use only the title relevant to the Articulate material, eg use "Overview of AI Assistant..." instead of "GoTo Webinar - Overview of AI Assistant..."
4) The community emails are plain vanilla text. Maybe dress them up a bit with some of the friendly graphics found elsewhere, egI think it's fair to label all my comments as nit-picking. Generally, what you have provided is excellent.
Thank you, MarcHello MarcSanJose, Welcome and thank you for your kind words!! We really appreciate you letting us know about your experience so far.
- I believe we've fixed the issue with the missing badge images in emails. That won't fix emails that have already gone out, but I think we should be good from now on.
- I'm not sure why you ended up with two email verification emails. We're looking into that.
- For our training webinars, we use a tool called GoTo Webinar. Unfortunately, we don't have a way of removing their name from the email headers like that.
- Currently, we can't customize our emails coming out of the community. I've been told that feature is in the works, though.
I hope that helps! If you run into any other issues or have other feedback, please don't hesitate to let us know!
