Triage/Logic content

Hi, yes I am looking to create a mini "course" for our website so that our clients can find the most appropriate course for them. We are a domestic abuse charity, so it will depend on who their perpetrator is, and which area they live in as to which course(s) are available. I'd also like to build in information on the courses, and referral forms etc if possible.

Does anyone have any tips on the best way to approach this please?  I'd like them to go through the steps and then be shown recommendation(s) at the end

  • The Scenario block in Rise can be used to create a decision tree. Caveats: There are limits to the text length, and there can be no more than three possible responses to one question. Otherwise, that might work to guide them toward the appropriate set of courses. It really depends on the amount of variability in the sets of course available.

For better control, you could program a decision tree in Storyline. That gives you the ability to track responses with variables. Then you could show content after the decision tree based on the value of the variables.

Either program could include the forms as attachments. Or, if the forms are online, just link to them.

Thank you Judy, much appreciated, I will explore both options.

  • Hi Vicky! 👋 Welcome to the community! I like Judy's suggestion of a decision tree. I actually made this decision tree template you can download for free. It's on a different topic, but you can customize it, add questions/content, and link as needed. I thought I'd share in case it helps.
