Annual Compliance Training - Assign At Once or As Expires?
We're a state agency, so I imagine how our compliance is governed is a little different than in the private sector. We assign compliance training on a set schedule for everyone either every year or every other year, depending on the laws around that training. For example, our Ethics training rolls out March 1 every year (or the closes business day after). We release the calendar in advance so staff know what's coming and when.
New hires are given the entire bundle (around 4 hours worth of stuff) when they are onboarded. Since our new hires are onboarded on either the 1st or 15th of the month (or closest date), the odds of them doing a course, then having to re-do that course in its updated form within a month of being hired is pretty high, but so far no complaints thrown my way.
Kalena, thank you so much for sharing!
My main concern is asking staff to repeat the same training within a short time frame, but it's helpful to know that you haven't received any complaints regarding this :)
