Ok, so I'm on a boring conference call and I was too curious not to try to see how you did that. I think I figured a way to get your effect--I never thought that hard about animation on hovers . I did a quick one during my boring call. :) Is that what you did? Thanks for the inspiration.

It looks close but can't tell for sure unless I look at your setup. My buttons consist of three objects grouped together: the text, the icon and a rectangle shape. The hover is on the rectangle shape. I created the shape on the base slide and then made a copy of it. On the copied version, I changed the colour and added an entrance and exit animation. The entrance is a shape animation set to circle and the direction is set to in. The exit is also a circle animation set to out.
I then copied (but did not paste) the animation rectangle. Next, I went to the original rectangle and edited the states. I added a hover state and pasted the copied animated rectangle over top of the rectangle in the hover state. I saved the states and then grouped the rectangle, text and icon together.

- Thank you so much! In my practice file I used a zoom in-out on a second object. I grasp the principles so I'll play with it for another challenge. I appreciate it. I guess I just never really gave that much thought to playing with the hover effect. Your example really caught my eye.
