Hello!
I was very excited to start using the new microlearning features in Rise and you may have already seen this demo on LinkedIn and Twitter.
I'm particularly enjoying being able to jump straight from the header image to the content, without having to pass through a menu/contents page first.
The other big change - 'stepped' navigation - is also really cool. I can't decide whether I prefer it to the traditional 'continuous' navigation or not. So I made two versions of this demo for comparison.

Which version do you prefer?

As your captain, I prefer stepped navigation.
It's a small detail, but I liked how you customized the continue button's hidden text message to support your block content. Most users don't know they can change the text.
My favorite idea is the custom faded image at the footer of your course. Not only does it add a touch of visual interest, but it also anchors the page, signaling the lesson's completion.
Can we talk about the audio? First, I'm impressed you stayed for the entire class to capture that audio. And second, can you share how you created the audio effects to simulate the radio? I bet some other folks would like to know how you did that.

After ripping the audio from your YouTube videos (and for the 'Frequent Flyer' option, editing separate phrases together in Audacity), I passed the audio through https://voicechanger.io/ using the 'telephone' setting.
For the 'Brace for feedback' section, I used WellSaid to create the narration and passed it through Voicechanger.io, once again on the 'telephone' setting.
Combined with the 'bing bong' sound (Freesound), I think it really evokes being on a plane and supports this metaphorical 'learning journey'.- LiGPlaymakersDe2 years agoCommunity MemberThis was really fun and I learned a new trick about changing the continue button language! Also great use of AI to make the sound.
