Make searching an office, home, warehouse, store, or any other 2D environment feel more cinematic with this downloadable interaction. With the help of hotspots, triggers, and layers, learners can use the on-screen flashlight to help them discover clues.

The background illustration in this download was created using an AI tool. But you could replace it with any image to make this template fit a wide range of situations.

Explore this project.

To learn more about how it was created, check out this discussion post.

This template will work for folks using Storyline 360, the continuously updated version of Storyline included in Articulate 360. Want to try it out? Get a free trial of Articulate 360 right here.

  • Hi Paul,

Can you please share a video on how did you do the flash light bit? Need a basic idea on how can I create such a project?

    Regards
    Malvika
  • Thanks Paul. This is great, suggestions for making this accessible? How does this work with alternative keyboards?
  • Thanks Paul, this is really cool! I appreciate you sharing so others (me) can improve and grow our (mine) skillset!
  • This is really good! Thans so much for sharing. I tried to add a 5th check and I can not get the flashlight to find it. Not sure what I did wrong. Any suggestions?

I did that by adding another hotspot on the items layer and duplicating a layer and altered that content.

This was a wonderful example! I have relied on AI for a lot of my graphic content lately, but it never looked this good! May I ask, what prompt and tool did you use?

Paul this is Great! I would love to be able to use it in the course that I am working on. The course is about discovering new ways to care for our elders and I would love to use this as a way to visually explain how it can feel to the elders when someone walks in and have a serious look and show how it feels if it was someone with a smile on their face.
