Allison, this is awesome - thanks so much for sharing this. I have been working with it and just love what you've put together. One question: what would you recommend if someone wanted to run this in a group session where there were teams competing with one another? My initial thought would be to create a copy of the game board with levels and questions for each team, with a scene that links the boards together for navigation, and a results at the end that compares the three teams' totals. Unless you can think of a better way?
You're welcome! I'm so glad to hear you're loving it. That's a really interesting use case! I think that for the solution you're suggesting to work, you'd need to set the course up on one computer and have each group do it one at a time. They wouldn't be able to all do it at once on their own computers and see each other's results.
Another option would be to have each team complete the quiz on their own computer and then take a screenshot of their results to show the other teams.
If you have an LMS, you could see if it allows you create a leaderboard, which would allow you to compare overall results between teams.
I also found this discussion on creating a leaderboard with Google Sheets: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/how-to-create-a-free-leaderboard-for-elearning-with-google I've never tried that so I'm not sure how it works, but you could give it a go!

- Allison, this is a great idea - thanks for sharing this link. I will play with this and let you know how it goes! With this, I also would like to figure out a way to give score bonuses based on the time left on the clock for a player, so that the points are a little more competitive in the leaderboard (I have reduced it to 5 questions per level rather than 20). This seems like it would be a matter of moving a couple extra variables around, but not sure how complicated it is in Storyline yet... If you have any ideas, they're most welcome. Thanks again!
- Good idea! That should be possible but it'll definitely add another layer of complexity on the back end. I'm in the process of writing a tutorial that should help you understand how I've built it and make it easier for you to adapt it to fit your needs. Stay tuned!
