Rise 360: Space Travel–Themed Interactive Infographic

I’ve been wanting to create an interactive infographic for awhile, but wasn’t sure where to start. Then it came to me: what if I used Rise 360 and integrated some Storyline blocks? And that’s how this space travel-themed example was born.

The gifs, labeled graphics, and Storyline interactions really make this infographic come to life.

I hope this example inspires you to create your own interactive infographics with Rise 360 and Storyline!

  • Hi Allison,
Thank you for sharing your method!
I have a question: Usually when you add a Storyline block and interaction, it takes a few seconds to load and also displays the loading background (even with fast internet). How did you get around this?
    Thanks!

      Hi Zanel,
I didn't do anything special here, so maybe my files are just not as big as yours, so they load more quickly. Each of the Storyline blocks here is a single slide. How many slides are yours made up of?
  • Allison,

Question: When I view your course, the Storyline blocks are immediately visible on all browsers (even Chrome), without having to click a large "play" icon. Can you tell me how this is possible? I believe this has to do with whether the browser supports auto-play, and thought I read that auto-play is not possible on Chrome.

    Thx!
  • Sorry if this was covered but how was the animated image (red with clouds/stars twinkling) behind the main course title inserted into Rise?

      Hi John!
It's just an animated gif that I've inserted. You can insert animated gifs anywhere you can insert images.

Thanks. I just cant seem to figure out in Rise where to insert a graphic for the main header like that that will occupy the entire width of the page.
  • I love this Allison.
I really like Rise as a content authoring tool but have been looking for a way to make it a bit more exciting for a while and this really does the trick.

Think it would certainly work well as an intro page - very eye catching and inspiring!
  • Hi Andrea,

In the Drag and Drop options you'd check on the "Return item to start point if dropped outside" and it'll give you the options "any drop target" or "a correct drop target". That second option is the one you want to choose. I hope this helps!
