Flat Graphics for E-Learning RECAP #50: Challenge | Recap

When it comes to creative solutions in e-learning, you can’t beat the Articulate community. This week’s challenge asked course designers to render their real-world office spaces using flat design techniques. The flat examples were anything but flat! Be sure to check out the examples, free templates, and blog posts from your fellow community members.

Special thanks to first-time challengers Zdravko Gunjevic, Eric Kinne, Elearning Locker, Lyn Lucovsky, and Matthew Swift. Thanks for sharing your ideas with the community. We’re really glad you’re here!

New to the e-learning challenges?

If you have a blog, please consider writing about your challenges. We’ll link back to your posts so the great work you’re sharing gets even more exposure. If you share your demos on Twitter, try using #ELHChallenge so your tweeps can track your e-learning coolness.

Thanks for a flat-tastic week, E-Learning Heroes!

More About the E-Learning Challenges

The weekly challenges are ongoing opportunities to learn, share, and build your e-learning portfolios. You can jump into any or all of the previous challenges anytime you want. I’ll update the recap posts to include your demos.

  • Hi, I'm new here and just exploring all of the great content on the site. Love this e-learning community. I'm just in the process of developing an interactive portfolio/get-to-know-ya kind of project. It will be that you mouse over elements in the office and they glow or highlight and you click on them for the content and to learn more. (ie/ the cup of tea - you click on it to go to "My cup of tea" and what my strengths are, the Mickey ears will talk about my experience in working at Disneyworld, diploma about my education, family photo about my personal life, computer screen will have links to e-learning work I've done, books on the shelf will eventually have titles on the spine and link like Blissful Branding will link to logo design/branding projects). Anyways here's the start of my Flat Design Sample: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vr5zg72ybv34iow/office%20desk.jpg?dl=0
  • Nick - nice entry, especially the use of the colors dark blue and pink! They work together perfectly!

Daniel - Great job! Cool idea to share the making of your design.
  • The link in my last post doesn't work correct. Here is another one

  • Hey Daniel! I just updated the link to your flat design video. I loved watching your video tutorial!
  • Thanks everyone for sharing great work again this week out of your busy schedules!

@David - Thanks for the recap, saw I missed 1 or 2 earlier.
And thanks again; I saw you attempted to link for my demo but linked the webcam video instead of the TL video for this challenge (which I guess you wanted to link).
