Thanks Trina for this interesting read. I think it's especially relevant with so much talk about microlearning. Just because something is short, doesn't automatically mean it's an effective learning experience.
The point about social proof is a good one. I try to start an eLearning module with a video, interviewing someone in the organisation about the topic. This can help draw learners in because they see a real colleague discussing how the learning content could make it easier to do their jobs.

I think that's a great way to grab people's attention and illustrate how the topic is relevant to your audience's work. Nice suggestion!
