I just posted the same question--there has to be a way to edit once and use the same version of the video for view, try, and test, right? Hopefully, we'll get an answer!

Hi Amie! Yes there is a way! Once you record your video once, you can re-use that same video as view, try and test mode. Under the "Record Screen" dropdown on the ribbon in Storyline you'll find a drop down menu with all of your past recordings. Just click on one to open it up and select how you want to insert it (Try, view or test). Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any additional questions! :)
- JannaConrad-05a6 years agoCommunity MemberHi Nicole, I have only been able to use the original recording to create the various modes. I can't seem to edit and then use the edited version over and over again. For example if I edit in View mode I can't seem to copy that edited version into Try mode and Test mode. Is there a way to do this?
- LaurenEllis-6963 years agoCommunity Memberdid you ever figure out a solution for this, or is the original still the only way?
- LaurenEllis-6963 years agoCommunity MemberNicole, can you please explain how to use the edited version of the recording for all the modes? its cumbersome and time consuming to have to use the original recording. It doesnt quite make sense that we couldnt use the edited version, with all the extra useless slides removed.
