Nicole,
This is a very good and practical outline!
I'm also a one-person team and follow similar steps. I always create a Content document and review it with SMEs (either using our company wiki or Google docs) to make sure everything is technically accurate.
After that - I focus on designing and developing the course. I start with a template I use for all of the courses that has the company branding - allowing me to use Storyline for rapid prototyping.
Your list for making a course visually appealing is great!
Can you or anyone else, recommend where to find additional practical guidance and examples of good graphical design techniques?
Thanks!
