These are great ideas! I wish I was able to use Storyline more often in our institutional courses, but unfortunately the faculty members must develop their course content. I have been able to propose some Storyline solutions for various departments across the universities, and the results will be quite functional.
I loooove Actively Learn - (http://www.activelylearn.com) - and have several faculty members who are using it with great success (integrated within our LMS). Another option when it comes to flipping is to include things like wikis for students to pose questions, of which other students need to respond (this works well in a forum too, but the wikis act as a standing resource).
Nearpod is also a great learning app that can easily be integrated within any LMS.

Thanks for the good tips, Ashley! An app we are trying to get for faculty use, that I am excited about, is Zaption. It is another way to make video more engaging for students.
